Web 2.0

Web 2.0

When i watched the video on cloud computing i found out that when you post a photo online you are cloud computing.  When you are cloud computing it's like your photo has been vacuumed up by a giant cloud and then it lifts up into the cloud until you want to look at it again.  You can look at it on Flickr or Facebook or wherever you posted it online.  I learned that your photos that you posted online don't actually lift up into the sky by giant clouds they go to data centers.  I also leaned that cloud computing is used as a good backup for whenever you lose a photo you can get it again.  When i watched the photo on Web 2.0 I learned that <LI>  is a structional element referring to "list item".  I also leaned that two sites can mash data together.  I found it interesting that when we post and tag pictures we are teaching the machine, each time we forge a link, we teach it an idea.   Each time we click on a web page we are teaching the machine.  When i watched another video on cloud computing i leaned that when you are cloud computing it's all secure, backed up at another location and it's accessible through the web.  Also i leaned and found it interesting how cloud computing has unlimited storage and resources.  Also it stores and keeps our photos safe in case we spill coffee on our computer or something happens to our computers or devices.

Camera Techniques

The part I liked best about the video "The Rule of Thirds"  was how putting the wind mill in the corner instead of the middle looked better.  I think this camera technique is better for pictures of scenery.  Two things I learned about the video "Fill The Frame"  were that it shows more detail and this technique works best for action shots.  Two things I learned from the video "Framing" were that framing is when you surround the subject with something else and framing is a good way to enhance the composition.  Framing is also good for protecting a photo or art work.  Two things i learned from the video ''Point of View"  were that you have to move around and try different angles to get different points of views.  The thing that I liked best in the video called "Level Horizon"  was that you can click the virtual horizon button on your camera and it will help you keep it level.

Journal Entry One

The other day our class had to set up our Google accounts.  Some students already had a Google account that they could have used or they had the option to make a new one but the students who didn't already have a Google account before also had to create one.  I already had a Google account so i had the option to use it or create a new one.  I used my Google account that i had before because it would be quicker.  I had no problems accessing my Google account, everything went smoothly.  Although i had a few questions when i didn't know what to do i managed to get on my Google account by the end of class.  Some students are still having troubles setting up their Google accounts but they are still working on it.  When we were done creating our Google accounts we had to set up our Blogger website.  I had no troubles setting up my Blogger account either.
